Rode board for 3 sessions and rides great max weight is 200# , set up as a thruster ( 3 ) fin system with futures fins and works the best with twin side fins in that are small. This board will let you spin slash and
airs with no problems.
i will be building a 4.8 thruster fin board this weekend and will post pics at that time.
9.5.09 this is what the 2009 4.8 cores look like , wide diamond tail with wide point set back past center.
9.5.09 Friday night i cut in the Futures fin boxes and set them in epoxy and scimmed the core with fast&final to fill voids in the foam, side boxes were set at 11″at tail with .375 toe in and tail fin set at 3″ at tail. In the a/m i will router the rails and sand with paper to desired shape.

This a/m i spent one hour shaping the rails with a 3/4 , 1/2 and 3/8 router bit to get the shape i want, and now its ready to get 10oz. of Sglass on bottom with Greenroom epoxy.

I had the pleasure to ride Sunday with 2 boats and a real surf feel from the center wake , next time we will up the speed so it will clean the wakes up.
in 2010 You can EARN 100.00 by riding a Lakewakes board in any recognized wakesurf event if you finish 1,2 or 3rd place per event. More details to come.

We have designed the 2010 Lakewakes boards wider from nose to tail to handle comp speeds of 12 to 13 mph. The tail will have a diamond shape for fast rail to rail moves. sizes are 4.2 , and 4.8, thickness of the cores are 1.125 , 1.375 and 1.675″ and nose rocker will be 2.5″ and tail rocker will be .500″. After a surf demo weekend on Lanier lake in georgia a local surfer/kiteboarder liked the 4.8r20 round tail board that we made , he decided to buy one. Joe’s board specs are a 4.8 board , round tail and 20 wide with 5 future fin set up.( a standard thruster setup with C5 side bites ) Photo shows fin box locations
